Vietnam Public Holidays

Vietnam has 9 public holiday a year. These are days where workers get the day off work. As in many nations, if a public holiday falls during the weekend, it is observed on the following Monday. On the 28 March 2007, the government of Vietnam added the Hung Kings Commemoriations to the list of public holidays, increasing the total number of days to 9 up from 8 in the previous year.

Public Holiday Hotel Bookings
When booking a hotel on a public holiday, around the end of the year or over the Tet holidays please ensure that bookings are made well in advance as many hotels are frequently fully booked during these periods. Hotels during this period also generally charge their premium rack rates.
